So – another year has rolled around…the end of 12 became a bit of a muddle, many things seem to have all needed attention at the same time…so be it, we come through the New Year happy and healthy and hoping that continues.

I don’t do resolutions, but I do hope to get some more sewing in…..with some time off work at the moment, and Christmas dinners and baking more or less behind us I am playing in the kitchen, and a wee bit in the sewing area as well.

A late dinner tonight – do you recognize it?  I cherry picked my favourite bits, so you don’t see the potato or turnip….

A friend pointed out to me something I did the last time I asked readers about a photo – if she is reading I am sure I will get told again!

Anyhoo – yesterday was pulled pork off my smoker, in the snow at about -7 with a flashlight….loved it, and when you cook with no salt/sodium at all the smoker absolutely rocks the flavour!

So – back to the usual topic on this blog?

Sewing….

I don’t have a picture, but I have started a new quilt, picture tomorrow, have started sewing to fill the walls in the coming sometime soon store space…landlord is insulating walls etc. now, City has landlord’s drawings….should be moving along for a spring opening.

Here is a Turning Twenty I pulled out, I had pieced it and gotten sidetracked, but wanted to see some bright spring colours, will get this finished to go on the wall – as the name implies the quilt top is pieced with 20 fat quarters – though I actually have a leftover strip of each, due to a lack of paying attention to what I was doing while cutting…those will figure into the backing I imagine!

Anyhow – Best Wishes for a Happy and Healthy 2013 everyone…
